About The Bogan Detective Agency
The Bogan Detective Agency was a mistake. Avid crime reader, part-time detective and owner of a large green magnifying glass, Octavious ‘Occy’ Holmes made the mistake, yet will not admit it. It was supposed to be the ‘Bogart Detective Agency’ in deference to the actor who played Philip Marlowe. But the font he chose when ordering , ‘Coincidental Clueface Italic’, resulted in a legibility wardrobe malfunction, and he can’t afford to fix it till he solves a case or two. So he and his offsider Watto need to explain it every time they flash their dodgy badges.
The Case of the Phantom Fish Flogger
The most expensive tropical fish in Bayswater (and surrounds) has gone missing, and Occy and Watto are on the case. They weren't asked to, and nobody really wants them there, but that has never stopped them before (except that time at Watto's sister's Build-A-Bear party—but Watto's mum said they were 'never, ever to talk about that AGAIN'). With Occy's laser-like focus on the unlikely and Watto's attention to detail (typically irrelevant), the two sleuths relentlessly track down the perpetrator through a series of red herrings, dead herrings, pickled herrings and an amorous Oscar. Occy becomes increasingly sure that his efforts to solve the crime are being foiled by an unseen hand behind the curtain. Watto is unsure of which curtain, thinking it may be more a case of vertical blinds. Will they solve the case? Will they save the fish? What is that smell? Can macramé become a full-contact sport? These are the questions. The answers are the other bit.
